Jeff Wilson is just an ordinary guy who has a passion for helping people excel at their lives. Jeff’s mission is to help individuals step out of their comfort zones in order to reach beyond their expectations, expand their value, and take nothing for granted. Jeff helps his clients identify and eliminate the obstacles that stand in the way leading a fulfilling life. Whether it is helping financial advisors building their practices, guiding other business professionals as they advance their careers or practices, assisting non-profits with leadership and fundraising, teaching children that their futures are limitless, or coaching people on how to live healthier, more fulfilling lives, Jeff is there to serve.
Jeff has over twenty years of experience in business, including more than eight years in the banking and financial services industry. He spent nine years in manufacturing, five of which were spent as CFO and second largest shareholder of a company that he helped grow annual sales from $6 million to $17.6 million. Jeff knows first-hand the struggles of building a business or practice. Jeff has also worked for two Fortune 100 companies and understands the trials and tribulations of corporate America. All of Jeff’s broad business experience has served him well in his ten years as a coach and mentor. Jeff and his wife Terri founded Coaching Balance, a business Terri now leads, as a way to help people excel at their lives by taking care of their health and minds. Improving health and assuring that one’s goals are aligned with their deep-rooted values is a sure way to break through personal boundaries and become one’s best.
Jeff is a Certified Axiology Practitioner, a Certified ChangeWorks® Practitioner, and a Certified Personal Trainer. Jeff earned his BS in Business Management from the University of Redlands and his MBA from the University of California, Irvine. He holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation from the College for Financial Planning, is trained in earned value management, Six Sigma and SPC (Statistical Process Control), lean manufacturing, leadership development, and Sandler Professional Sales.
On a more personal note, Jeff is very involved in the community. He serves as the chairman of the board of directors of Parkview Community Foundation, a community outreach program that provides after school and summer programs for at-risk children. Jeff serves as the church council chair at Light of Christ United Methodist Church in South Charlotte. He is also the site administrator and co-founder of Carolina Area Dads, a group that provides support for dads who desire to make a profound difference in their children’s lives. He previously served as treasurer for Habitat for Humanity of Orange County and volunteered with Hot Meals, a ministry whose mission was to provide meals to the needy in North Orange County, California. Jeff lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife of over seventeen years, Terri, their two daughters, Miranda and August, and their two dogs, Mike and Sulley. Jeff has a passion for fitness and is an avid runner who has completed several half marathons and marathons.
